Fundstrat appoints Vito J. Racanelli as Managing Director, Senior Editor & Market Intelligence Analyst
New York, NY — January 17, 2019 — Fundstrat Global Advisors (FSGA) is pleased to announce the addition of Vito J. Racanelli, who joins the company as a Managing Director, Senior Editor and Market Intelligence Analyst, working with Thomas Lee (Head of Research) and John Bai (Head of Sales), and the entire team.
Vito will be driving several important new initiatives at Fundstrat, including developing a market intelligence product, “Signal from Noise,” which identifies key drivers and themes impacting markets in the intermediate term. Additionally, Vito will be introducing other market commentary and insights.
“Vito’s immense rolodex of corporate CEOs and clients and cumulative knowledge of markets is an extremely rare and very useful combination. Vito’s articles at Barron’s were always widely discussed, and we expect our clients to find enormous value from his insights” — Thomas Lee, Head of Research at Fundstrat.
Mr. Racanelli brings nearly three decades of experience as a financial journalist in various capacities for Dow Jones & Co., publisher of Barron’s and The Wall Street Journal. He began his career in 1990 at the Professional Investor Report, the first real-time market news service, before moving to Milan for the Associated Press-Dow Jones as Italy bureau chief in 1994. There he directed coverage of the country’s markets and government. He returned to the U.S. in 1997 as senior editor at Barron’s, the premier financial news weekly, where he wrote the Trader, Streetwise and Up & Down Wall Street columns.
“We are absolutely delighted to have a person of Vito’s caliber and experience join and strengthen our research offerings and insights. I have always been impressed by the depths of his insights and believe this will add a lot of value to our clients” — John Bai, Head of Sales at Fundstrat.
In addition to his regular Barron’s market moving features about stocks, bonds and the economy, his work has also been published in The Wall Street Journal, Penta, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Newark Star Ledger, and the Far Eastern Economic Review, among other publications. He has appeared as a market commentator on CNBC, Fox Business News, and the BBC radio, among other broadcast media.
