Crypto Market Update - October 2026
Key Topics
Ten-year Treasury yields hit their highest level since 2002 this month. Oil prices remain high. AI infrastructure debt is under pressure, and the Fed meets next week. Through it all, Bitcoin has held up better than many AI stocks.
In Fundstrat’s October Crypto Market Update, Head of Digital Asset Strategy Sean Farrell and Head of Technical Strategy Mark Newton broke down what that resilience could mean for the cycle, and the catalysts they’re watching into early November. The replay and slide deck are now available.
Watch the replay to hear Sean and Mark discuss:
• The bottom signals Fundstrat has been tracking as Bitcoin absorbed one negative headline after another this summer
• Why crypto shook off a hawkish move in rate expectations, and how it could potentially benefit as typical risk-off signals emerge
• The widening spread in token-fee growth, and what that gap says about where value may accrue going forward
• Why the SEC’s new tokenization exemption is a limited but important signal, and which layers of the crypto stack stand to benefit
• A key catalyst on the calendar: the Treasury’s refunding announcement on November 4
• Mark Newton’s technical read on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Strategy, and the miners, plus the cycle timing he’s watching into mid-November
